After running the Brighton Marathon with John Baalham last year for St Luke’s, the big one for me was to do the London. Unfortunately we could not both do it but St Luke’s secured us 1 place .
As if training wasn’t hard enough through the cold dark winters days and evenings, 1 month and half into training I was told by my physio after receiving MRI results from my bad knee that I’ve been suffering with, I cannot run anymore or run the marathon!
I was devastated and did not want to let St Luke’s down, I just ramped the miles and pace down but didn’t quit, I booked in to see a knee specialist at Nuffield hospital who said I can run although I need an operation and if I can deal with the pain I can run the London if I really want to.
So I am back on it although I’ve missed out on a quarter of my training.
Now only 4 weeks left and trainings been so painful and hard but going well
Even John is training along side me to help me out .
Please see the link below and read why we were doing this and sponsor what you can
Much love 😘😘😘
