Here was a major office fit-out that covered all the angles.The materials used included metal fabrication, stonework, concrete, timber veneer, laminates, and upholstery. This was a complex, fast-paced project that set challenges, but produced a truly impressive result.
The scale and diversity of the work was one aspect, but what first attracts the eye throughout the two levels of this city-center office building are the striking angles – pyramid-shaped, tiered presentation spaces; long work benchtops flowing into large cylindrical planters; chevron-shaped banquettes and origami shaped slatted paneling.
Everything works to great effect. The use of natural timber veneers sits against pristine white, metallic blues and royal purples in the upholstery and wall interiors. Long stone benchtops in the two kitchen areas provide spaces for informal lunchtime conversations, with smaller table settings for quieter relaxation. Each level is cleverly designed such that around every corner is another area that invites collaboration and communication, formal or informal.
Space, light, and visually stimulating shapes and dimensions throughout – this office fitout is a leading example of a contemporary workspace that promotes true interaction and productivity.
