**Commercial heating upgrade completed 🔥**

A recent plant room installation completed by the Macfarlane Heating Services team.

The new system includes **2 × Ideal Evomax 2 60kW commercial boilers**, providing 120kW of boiler capacity, installed alongside a **plate heat exchanger** to separate the new boiler circuit from the existing heating system.

A great example of the larger commercial heating work we carry out alongside our domestic services.

From plant room upgrades and boiler replacements to ongoing commercial servicing and maintenance, we can design, install and look after heating systems of all sizes.

A recent light-commercial heating installation designed around longer pipe runs and separate heating demands.

Although this is a single-boiler system, a low-loss header was used to hydraulically separate the boiler circuit from the heating and hot-water circuits.

This allows each pump to provide the flow its circuit requires without interfering with the others—helping maintain stable boiler flow, reliable circulation and efficient system performance.

A well-designed heating system is about more than simply choosing the boiler. The complete system must be designed to work together.

⛳️ **Macfarlane Heating Services Golf Day 2026**

A brilliant day at Kilmarnock Barassie with the engineers. There was some good golf, some bad golf and plenty that’s probably best forgotten! 😂

Congratulations to Andy, who was crowned the first Macfarlane Heating Services Champion Golfer of the Year, with Craig finishing a close second. 🏆

We’re fortunate to have a great team who work hard throughout the year, so a day like today was thoroughly deserved.

A special mention to Loree, who stayed behind and kept the office running while the rest of us enjoyed the golf!

A great course, plenty of laughs and an all-round brilliant day. Same again next year! 👏

Meet Sean 👋

Sean joined Macfarlane Heating Services in July 2025 and has quickly become an important member of our team.

He carries out the majority of our domestic boiler servicing and repairs, consistently delivering the high standards of workmanship and customer service we pride ourselves on.

Always keen to develop his skills, Sean recently completed Ideal Heating's Advanced Installer Course and has also achieved his LPG qualification. He also plays a key role in our underfloor heating installations, continuing to broaden his experience across the business.

Conscientious, punctual and always willing to go the extra mile when needed, Sean has earned the trust of both our customers and the rest of the team.

A fantastic project completed as part of a major renovation in Southwood, Troon.

For this installation we used the AmbiDeck® Pro 20 overlay system, providing a low-profile, high-performance underfloor heating solution without the need for a traditional screed. Alongside the underfloor heating installation, we also fully re-piped the heating system and installed a new boiler with a low loss header to create an efficient, reliable heating system for the home.
