I'm just tidying up after the weekend and have a few bits left that are left over that will not make trolley grade for next weekend.

I've bundled 3 assorted hardy Penstemons (the one in the green pot is definitely red, the other two are probably burgundy, one red Geum and a Pink Phlox. They are all in 1
Litre pots and half my Saturday price at £10 if you want the tray. For less than Farmer Gracy's plugs so you can add to, or start your cottage garden with established plants at an affordable price And for the eagle eyed there's an additional small red geum included in the price.

I'm closed until next weekend so I can't reserve them, but the honesty box is on the trolley. If you buy the plants please leave the tray as I'll need it for Saturday.

Poor Barry Part II ...... It's just irreverent chuckle on life.

Our little recue's mum dotes on him. When he came to us he only ate bread that we guessed he scavenged from the street. His loving mum spent a small fortune on supplements to add to meat free recipes she cooked for him. They looked lovely, much better then I cook for myself.

Barry steadfast refused them still preferring bread. Then sneaky old Saxon introduced Barry to Coop dog food. It really was winner winner Barry's chicken dinner.

Mum finally relented and a visit to the Coop was sanctioned and lots of dog food was brought from money from my plant sales.... Ironic, selling plants to replace plant based food.

As I slowly close my business. A further thank you.

As you read my ramberling often badly spelp incoherent posts you are in effect reading my return to normality as my rehab continues.

People will always be kind and caring, but me as much as the next person must always remember that people often have more hidden fears and anxiety that we may not realise. Love and understand was born into our hearts and should never be taken away by an often cruel world x.

Thank you all once again for your kind and generous support. I'm down to the final bits and bobs. As a final push to raise a bit of money to fed our starving dog all the remaining assorted plants on Sunday will be reduced to any two for £5 and the Salvia Amistad two for £7.

So.... I'm a bit poorly, I've posted a cute rescue dog picture and Barry is starving. Are there any more heart strings I possibly can tug in a desperately shallow superficial attempt to sell my plants.

Your welcome to guess. No prize except the knowledge that you're as nutty as Barry 's other doteing owner. For anybody who gets as bored as I do on a Sunday I'll reveal all tomorrow. Much like my dreadfully polically incorrect stroke joke that I can now say as I've joined the club.

Undetetered by the bank holiday fiasco. I've put out a lovely selection of plants for Saturday and Sunday @ 10 Saxon Road Steyning. Most are the last my 1 litre perennials and the first of my 1 litre perennial scented Phlox all at 3/£10 and a limited number of Salvia Amistad for £5 each.

I don't stray far, but if I'm resting I'll probably just be around the back. Alternatively my honesty box is on the board next to the trolly which is beginning managed by my crack sales team. Bouncing Barry is on look out whist the BigN is doing what cat do best ..... nothing but laying around.

Just a polite reminder. I'm taking general availability enquiries on messenger, but after last weekend of pre making orders for collection only for some to be cancelled the best I can currently manage is same day collection.

I'm sorry that I seem to be sending out mixed messages, but having been advised to close because of my condition I'm determined not to give in and find a way to continue that works. I know that with all the support people have afforded me I will find a way.

I've sorted out all the uncollected bank holiday orders, added some lovely pink and white perennial Phlox and loaded up my little trolley. All the pick and mix plants plants are still £4 each or any 3 for £10. Salvia Amistad is always very popular so I've put a few out at £5 each.

New for this weekend are budded mix colour Astilbes. Theae are perfect for shade or a damp spot by a pond. They are £6 each. I've only a few and they are not on the trolley so please message if you are interested in them

Opening bank holiday for pre-made orders wasn't very successful (tbh it was a complete disaster), So for the next the couple of weeks I'm trying out opening Friday morning to Sunday afternoon for general sales @10 Saxon Road, Steyning.. If I'm not about please use the honesty box for cash only payment.

I Apologies for having to change opening times but I'm trying to find the best balance for my customers within my limitations. As per my normal request, please messenger me with any enquiries and I would be grateful if you leave the information labels on the trolley. Thank you for you continuing supporting, Paul.

After what was a frustrating and uncomfortably hot Bank holiday I've been left with more plants than I anticipated as a result of uncollected orders. So for this Saturday I will have a well stocked trolley on my drive @ 10 Saxon Road Steyning.

I've a couple of trays of 1 litre herbaceous perennials, a tray of Burgundy Penstemons, tray of pink and a tray of white perennial scented phlox and half a tray of black grasses. These will all be in the £4 each or 3/£10 mix. Large budding Gazania at £3 each or 2/£5 and a couple of Salvia Amistad at £5 each.

As normal, please can you send any availability enquiries to me on messenger. Unfortunately, because of the uncollected order problem, this weekend I'll be unable to make up orders for collection so it will be first come bases. I sorry but, I'm sure that you understand my personal situation and the difficulties I now have.

We're now in the migratory season of the 'lesser spotted Flowerous Pottus' where this species migrates from its winter home in a shed to my drive at Saxon HQ .

Seriously, I know that people think they are helping me whilst saving the planet by leaving me bags of pots on my driveway but it does cause a problem. I can't use them, and as I can't now drive I can't take them to the tip for recycling. AT THIS POINT I'LL GET SPAMMED BY WASTE COLLECTION COMPANIES.

Most modern pots are recyable but reusing them is still the best option so I'm happy to take back any of my pots plus the new style 1, 2 and 3 litre square pots as they are storeable. Any others, if in doubt send me a pic. This could be a new Saxon Slogan.... "Don't fly tip send me a pic." .... yes, that's dreadful, but my plants are better than my slogans.

It's probably down to the heat but the last two days I've had more than an odd order cancellation.

A simple order that used to take me 10 minutes to make up now takes me over an hour because my cognitive issues.Today I spent 2 hours in the heat making up cancelled orders, leaving me totally wiped out.

I tried pre-ordering for collection because of my reduced opening. Tbh, partly as a result of this, and the cognitive problems I'm experiencing it hasn't worked that well so I'm now having to temporarily stop taking any new orders.

As normal I'll post availability putting anything that I have to sell on.my trolley evey Saturday but now only on a first come bases.

I apologise for having having to do this, but I'm sure you understand that making up uncollected orders does take a lot of my physical and mental energy.

ALL CHANGE......

Unfortunately one customer has cancelled their order and another cannot collect theirs until later in the afternoon, so ...... it's all change.

Due to the cancellation I've been able to add a couple of Amistad, some scented perennial pink and white Phlox and a lovely pink Verbascome to the 3/£10 offer of perennials and Penstemons.

As I'll will be open later than planned I got up early and relocated my plants for sale to the back garden where they can be protected from the direct early morning sunlight.

People who are collecting orders know to just walk around the back. If you are coming for a Bank Holiday sneaky peaky you'll see my sign on my drive. Just come down the drive and around to the back garden, you'll find me there.

Space is restricted, but I have created a small seating area in the shade for dogs, youngsters and the elderly if required. All that I ask is that people respect it as my garden a not a park.
