It feels like about 95% of the jobs this year have been paving, not a bad thing as I quite enjoy the finished product.
The client didn't want it to impose on the lawn too much but be big enough for a small table and chairs. It had to curve and also the brickwork to match the house. It's a fairly modern property built with reclaimed bricks and looks great.
Our build covered an air brick on one side so we put an air brick in our wall with a channel to the house air brick.
Bricks from Salisbury Demolition in Wilton and paving from the now shut DS Stone in Fordingbridge.

One of the many storms took out this wall in Wi******er over the Christmas period, it was already on our 'to do' list (oops! 🫢)

The 'rat trap' design isn't the strongest of walls and a bit of a pain to rebuild (laying bricks on edge). We used the best of the old bricks plus I had some 2nd hand bricks from a Broughton job that blended in well.

It was nice that people walking past gave positive compliments...some of them well known clients as we first started working in that road in '95 on the house opposite. In fact it was rebuilding a wall using the existing bricks that was probably our first job there 🤷🏻‍♂️
