Yesterday, we had the pleasure of officially opening our newly refurbished Training Centre, employee breakout area, and extended Teapot social hub, with a Summer Barbecue Open Day bringing together employees, customers, and suppliers to celebrate the completion of this exciting project.
We were delighted to welcome representatives from Aston Martin Lagonda, Jaguar Land Rover, JCB, and Bentley Motors, who kindly brought along a selection of fantastic vehicles that proved extremely popular with employees throughout the day.
The event began with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by our UK Directors, officially opening the facilities and marking the completion of a transformation that has taken months of planning, collaboration, and hard work to deliver.
Guests also enjoyed a series of presentations from key speakers, including Torsten Schmeichel, who shared his vision for how the Training Centre will support skills development, innovation, and future growth. Elyse Birchall spoke about the importance of health and wellbeing in the workplace, while Project Lead James Whitehurst provided an overview of the project journey, highlighting the extensive work undertaken and the significant improvements made to transform the space into a modern, multifunctional environment for employees, customers, and visitors.
A special thank you goes to Bullock and Bosson for their support with the design, layout, and furniture solutions, and to MTH Construction Services Ltd | Facilities Management for delivering the building works and helping bring the vision to life.
Despite the typical British weather, the atmosphere remained incredibly positive throughout the day. Colleagues, customers, and suppliers came together to celebrate the opening, creating a genuine sense of community, collaboration, and pride in what has been achieved.
This is more than just a refurbishment; it represents a significant investment in the future of our business and demonstrates our commitment to training, development, wellbeing, and continuous improvement.
