I've been very lucky to spot my first hummingbird moth this year whilst in a customer's garden 😍

It was hovering over a beautiful phlox, another very low maintenance perennial.

It's called echinops, or blue globe thistle, isn't it beautiful?

It's a perennial, so it takes very little maintenance. Cut the dead stems down once a year, done. Couldn't be any easier.

Nature's freebies! Who doesn't love a freebie?!

These lovely tall spires are foxgloves in my own garden, not one of which I planted.

Last year, there was one. After it had finished flowering, I waited for it to dry out on the stem, and then I shook it out and scattered the seeds.

And this year, I have 22 👏🎉

Quite pleased with that.

This is weigela (pronounced either wee-gel-a or wee-gee-la or anything in between) - isn't it lovely? It does lose its leaves over winter, but produces these gorgeous pink trumpet-shaped flowers in Spring.

I love it when it's been pruned to a rounder shape, but I equally love it when it's allowed to roam and drape.

Such a pretty shrub.

I've shown you this beautiful clematis Montana before, but isn't it just stunning?! I kid you not, I never touch this, it just does it's own thing year after year. Winner!
