DSS Civil Engineering have recently been awarded the Better Tomorrow award by Taylor Wimpey, in recognition of the positive customer service experience provided by our site teams and the company.

Very often the type of work we do on legacy sites is intrusive and has the potential to cause disruption to residents. On this particular project we installed new external surface water drainage directly affecting over 30 properties. The open and proactive communication approach adopted by our team minimised the disruption and resulted in a number of residents complimenting Taylor Wimpey North Midlands, and indirectly DSS, on both the quality of the work and the behaviour of our site teams.

Another finishing touch completed on a Grade II listed building renovation project on a Derbyshire estate, joining the highway to the main entrance driveway that will lead up to the striking main residence.

The additional challenges that come from renovation projects on listed properties are something our civils teams are skilled at managing. Watch this space for more details as this project moves forward to completion.

With the school holidays coming to an end the DSS Civils teams are out putting the finishing touches to several Section 278 works on busy roads and junctions - getting tactile paving in place, correctly aligning kerb stones and ensuring road surfaces and pavements are ready for when the school runs return next week.
