Today we’ve begun digging out a new path through this beautiful, huge garden. 🌳

We’ve set everything out and started stripping the turf and digging the path to the required depth, ready for the next stages.

Plenty more digging to go on this one — looking forward to seeing it take shape! 👌

Driveway extension completed today in Leek Wootton 🚜

Today’s job was extending an existing driveway, digging out the area before arranging the grab to remove the spoil, then supplying, laying and compacting the Type 1 hardcore ready for the next stage.

One of the really interesting parts of today was the customer showing us an old photograph of the house from years ago. It’s brilliant seeing how the surroundings have changed over time while the beautiful thatched cottage is still instantly recognisable.

There’s something a bit special about working on a property with this much history and character!

Another damp problem solved. 💪

We were called out because this property’s garden level had been built up over the years and was sitting above the property’s damp course, allowing moisture to bridge into the walls.

Our solution was to excavate the entire area down to the correct level, removing a large amount of spoil to restore the correct ground levels and help prevent future damp issues. Sometimes the best fix isn’t a chemical treatment – it’s simply getting the ground levels right.

If you’re noticing damp on internal walls, don’t overlook what’s happening outside. High external ground levels are a common cause and can often be resolved with the right excavation work.

A nice little job completed earlier this week, converting an old, unused pond into an LPG gas tank pit. 💪

Using the Bobcat E10, we carefully excavated the old pond, then dug the LPG pit down to the required depth before trenching across to the property ready for the new gas supply.

Jobs like this need plenty of care and precision, especially when working around existing patios and established gardens. Another happy customer and another project ready for the next stage. 👌

It’s not often we get to see the finished result of a project, so it was a real pleasure to receive these photos from our customer in Compton Verney.

We carried out all of the excavation works and foundations for this extension, and the customer has done an incredible job building it himself. The finished result looks absolutely fantastic and blends in perfectly with the original property.

This is why getting the groundwork right is so important – everything else is built on it. It’s great to see all the hard work come together into such a stunning finished extension.

A huge thank you to the customer for sending these photos over. It’s always appreciated and brilliant to see what the finished project becomes.

🌱 Another garden brought back to life! 🚜

Today’s job was all about getting this garden ready for a brand-new lawn.

We cleared years of weeds, vegetation and unwanted debris, removed the old concrete and rubble, then graded and levelled the whole area to leave it ready for the customer to spread their topsoil and sow their grass seed.

It’s always satisfying taking a garden from overgrown and unusable to a clean, level blank canvas ready for its next stage.
