From vision to reality.
Watch as the initial hand-drawn design merges into the new landscape. It’s been a privilege to play our part in bringing this historic Warwick garden to life.

The garden at 45 High Street has been designed by Susanna Brown to create strong links to the beautiful house and provide perfect spaces for modern living. It is divided broadly into four distinct spaces – a large terrace accessed directly from the kitchen, steps up to a flower garden with a path around a water feature and abundant planting, a walkway through black timber frame steps up to the lawn and then to a large evening sun terrace with an outdoor kitchen for entertaining.
A strong evergreen structure of pleached Portuguese laurel, yew hedges and yew spheres provides all year round interest and creates screening to neighbouring properties. This is contrasted with soft billowy planting of white lavender, Annabelle hydrangeas, Amelanchier and blousy perennials.
The materials have been chosen to compliment this wonderful building – limestone paving and setts, reclaimed bricks from the house, sawn timbers stained black to reflect the timbers on the house and pick up colours from window frames and the outdoor staircase. A bespoke willow screen reminiscent of the wattle and daub in the house has replaced the old garden trellis on the boundary.
At IP Building Services, we specialise in the preservation and enhancement of listed buildings. We loved using reclaimed bricks from the original house to ensure the new walls felt like they had always been part of this 'Great Fire' survivor.
