Formally called Strode Productions, the name was changed when we had to move our Christmas pantomime. As we were performing in two different locations it was decided this was the best way to avoid confusion when advertising our shows. No Membership......Just Friendship

Y is for Young People

We are incredibly proud of the young talent within Moorlight.
Our young performers bring enthusiasm, energy, and dedication to every production, making them a truly valued part of our theatre family. Whether they're on stage, backstage, or helping behind the scenes, they play a vital role in everything we do.
As the next generation of performers, technicians, and creative leaders, they are the future of Moorlight.

We can't wait to watch them continue to grow in confidence, develop their talents, and create even more magical memories in the years to come.

X is for Extraordinary costumes

Pantomime is all about going bigger, brighter, and bolder – and our costumes are no exception!
From the opening scene to the grand finale, we love to go big. Every costume helps bring our characters and stories to life, adding that extra touch to our pantomimes.

Over the years, we've been incredibly lucky to have so many talented seamstresses, led by Valerie Lukins and Rowena Collins, alongside the amazing Moorlight family. Countless hours are spent cutting, sewing, embellishing, and creating the wonderful costumes you see on stage, and we are forever grateful to everyone who gives their time and talent.

And this year will be no exception… we can't wait for you to see what we've been creating!

W is for Wigs

No pantomime Dame is complete without an extravagant wig!
The bigger, brighter, and more outrageous, the better! From fancy styles to colourful creations, a Dame's wig is just as important as the costume and always helps bring the character to life!

Every great pantomime needs a villain… and every great audience loves to boo them!

With wicked schemes, mischievous plans, and plenty of dramatic moments, our villains always know how to steal the spotlight… or at least they think they do!

After all, what's a hero without a villain to defeat?

We can guarantee there'll be plenty of boos when our next baddie takes to the stage!

U is for UV

We love bringing a little extra magic to the stage with our UV scenes!

Whether it's fighting off a dragon, growing a magical beanstalk or diving under the sea, UV effects help bring the impossible to life.
It's just one of the many ways we love to surprise our audiences and add that extra touch of pantomime magic!

T is for Theatre

The Meyer Theatre has been the home of our pantomimes for many years!
Every year, we look forward to returning to our theatre home and spending an unforgettable week bringing the magic of panto to the stage. It's a place filled with so many incredible memories, and we're excited to make even more this year.

We'd also like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to everyone at Millfield Enterprises for the continued support you give us. Without your generosity, encouragement, and partnership, we wouldn't be able to do what we love!

Did you know that we design, build, and paint all of our own sets?

Our dedicated team of talented volunteers work tirelessly behind the scenes to transform ideas into stunning stage scenery. From the first sketches to the final coat of paint, every set is lovingly created by the Moorlight Family, helping to bring the magic of our panto to life!
