A massive thank you to everybody who has shared our posts and send us messages of moral support, loan of kit etc. it’s reassuring how many good people and friends are out there.
The scum that have done this to us won’t stop us working we have spare kit, will replace what you took and continue to work hard to earn an honest living. I hope that either the authorities or one of your other victims catch up with you and you get what’s coming to you.

Totally pi**ed off. Some thieving opportunist bastards have just emptied our truck of around £1500 of kit and taken my wallet while 3 of us were cutting grass no more than 30 metres away at Wookey allotments. The kit is replaceable but my wallet with pictures of my kids on it is personal let alone the hassle of cancelling and replacing all of my cards and work permit cards.
This is the same people who stole Jack Temples van last week and have today done us and a ground worker 100 yards down the road. 2 people in a black ford cougar.
You were very lucky we or George Clark and his mate didn’t find you when we drove around.
If anybody is offered any Stihl equipment cheap please report it.
The police say there has been a spate of it in the Wells area over the last couple of weeks all involving a black ford cougar. Yet so far they have not captured the registration. If you see anything please let the police know.
Im not likely to see my kit back but this is our livelihood and we work bloody hard for it, go and get an honest job.

So disappointed to see this when we litter picked the skate park this morning. There was 2 cases of 18 bottles of Corona and only found 2 intact bottles. The rest were smashed along with vodka and other spirit bottles throughout the skate park causing a severe hazard to the genuine and younger skaters.
It took 2 of us over 2 hours to walk and pick through the grass and sweep and blow all of the paths and the ramps to make it safe. Over 2 bin bags full of litter and less than a carrier bag full in the actual bin.
Please show the park some respect if you are one of the older teenage group that uses it in the evening and think of the younger ones, some probably your brothers and sisters who also use it. Imagine the injuries and damage this could cause. Street Parish Council

Message from SLH Services ltd.
Maintenance contractor for Street Parish Council and responsible for Merriman park maintenance.
We will be carrying out essential hedge maintenance on the merriman park boundary with Merriman road on Thursday morning 11th July in order to reduce the overhanging hedge growth which is now infringing on the highway. We will be placing no parking bollards and signs on this stretch of road later tonight in preparation for tomorrow but could we request residents and locals to not park on this stretch of the boundary hedge from 8am. We will have this work completed within a couple of hours in order to re allow parking.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
