We’ve recently upgraded these car park lights by replacing the old SON lamps with modern LED fittings. The result is a much crisper, brighter light while also being far more energy efficient.

LED lighting not only improves visibility and safety, but also reduces running costs and maintenance compared to traditional lamps.

The guy in this photo believe it or not was the man who inspired me to become a pool engineer.

All my working career I’ve been an electrician, from the age of 16, doing my apprenticeship, and working for that same company for many years after too.

But after all that time I didn’t feel like being an electrician was the be all and end all and something was missing. That’s when I came across the very first TikToks of .

Clearly his day to day work was very interesting and there was something about it that got me hooked. The pool industry can be a very quirky and different lifestyle to most and the thought of this really interested me.

I decided to take the leap and change my career which at the time was the most scariest thing I had to do (pre marriage and kids 😂).

There was a local pool company that at the time was hiring and I went for the job. I did get the job and worked for them for a few years.
That was it, I thought brilliant, I’ve made it. I’m going to be exactly like .
In actual fact it’s not as easy as he makes it look. There’s theory behind it and chemicals, that if misused, can be dangerous. I also felt out of touch from the electrical industry which I never thought would happen.

This is when I made one of the biggest decisions of my life and go self employed, doing both electrical and swimming pool installation and maintenance and I’ve not looked back since.

So although this man is in a league of his own in the pool industry, his passion for showing people a different side of life has helped me get to where I am today.

So to see him at and ask for a picture that I know he’s been asked millions of times, it actually meant something. I’m happy to be where I’m at right now.

Matt and Beth asked us to take on the installation of all pipework, fittings and pool equipment for this nearly 100,000-litre, indoor, above-ground commercial swimming pool — and what a build it’s been! 🙌

From 2” pipework to 3-phase heating, this system has it all…
And did we mention the pool’s heated to 31°C?! 👀🔥

Their brand-new business venture is absolutely phenomenal, and we’ve loved being a part of bringing their vision to life. 💙

A special thank you to Will, our engineer, who has worked extremely hard on this project — putting in endless hours to help get it over the line. Not to mention the amazing drone footage he captured, allowing us to showcase this pool in all its beauty. 🚁💙

👋 Meet Rob — The Face Behind RIH Solutions

Hi, I’m Rob, and I run RIH Solutions Limited. I started the business because I’ve always enjoyed getting stuck in and solving problems — whether that’s keeping a swimming pool running perfectly or sorting out electrical issues before they turn into bigger headaches.

I’ve been working in this industry for years, and I take real pride in doing a proper job. I like things done right the first time and always aim to leave every customer feeling confident they’ve chosen someone they can rely on.

Running the business keeps me busy, but I genuinely enjoy it — meeting new people, tackling new challenges, and building something I can be proud of.

When I’m not on the tools, I’m busying around at home with my wife and two children which also definitely keeps me busy too!

RIH Solutions is all about honest work, good service, and a friendly face you can trust to get the job done.
