Trying not to waste the good stuff.

Clay mortar re formed with lime and sand to make a mortar congruent to what is already in the wall. Re using original materials also saves on buying more and keeps as much of the original fabric.

Working on a Georgian ceiling and wall, altered in Victorian era, the joists were completely out of level so we flattened them and re lathed with riven oak, scratch coat on. lightweight Stroud lime mix.

Scaffolding down, lime washed rough cast render. Lime wash colour by Stroud lime.I just make it up as I go.
