Really proud moment today seeing our recently qualified apprentice climb up and de limb this Thuja tree before removing the top. We will soon get him to rig down the timber with more experience. Great work from all of the team 🙏🌳

While lowering this stem of Thuja with the GRCS it could be safely held with the Avant and lowered in a tight drop zone.

The GRCS worked perfectly in dismantling this Thuja tree. With the mechanical aid of being able to winch we could take much larger sections of the tree down at once in a controlled manner. Having the right kit for the jobs makes work much more efficient. With a small drop zone we could then come and grab the timber with our avant and stack within the garden.

Sometimes plans change due to saftey. This ash tree was in decline with ash dieback, it had no leaf on the canopy. The original plan to was to climb the neighbouring beech tree and jump into the top and piece it down. On further inspection at the base once it was cleared it was showing large decay in the roots on one side and all the bark coming away. We decided the safest thing was to assist the fell with a pulley and truck rather than climb.
