Some exciting news from GK Joinery! 🎉

Our Managing Director, John, has been elected Chair of the Glass and Glazing Federation’s Joinery Network working group.

With the Future Homes and Buildings Standards arriving in 2027, businesses will need clear guidance and practical support to prepare for the changes ahead.

John will also champion heritage joinery. Decisions concerning windows and doors in listed buildings currently vary considerably across the country. The aim is to encourage clearer guidance and a more consistent approach—protecting our architectural heritage while recognising the value of skilled, sensitive joinery.

We’re proud that John and GK Joinery will have an active voice in shaping the future of our industry.

🌱 Our GK Joinery Forest has reached 340 trees! 🌳

We’re proud to be working in partnership with JUST ONE Tree and to see our forest continue to grow.

But it’s about more than just planting trees. JUST ONE Tree focuses on putting the right trees in the right place, helping to combat climate change, restore biodiversity and support communities through projects both on land and in our oceans.

Our growing forest is estimated to absorb approximately 104.72 tonnes of CO₂ as the trees grow, while supporting habitats for wildlife and marine life and creating opportunities for rural communities.

We’re proud to play our part in supporting projects that put people and the planet at the heart of what they do, and we’re excited to keep growing our impact together.
