Hi I am Kate - founder of Pebble & leaf and Upcycled Environment, this journey began because I love living in the heart of the beautiful Suffolk countryside and nature is my thing! I noticed that more and more fly tipping was happening here in Assington - garden fences, furniture, apple crates, trees and bushes cut down and dumped on the fields opposite where I live - what a shame and a waste. So I started to collect these discarded items and make use of them - thus the horrid looking pile of waste started to decrease. My creativity reached new bounds and I started to look to natural items to make beautiful home wares with too and here my idea for Pebble & Leaf was born!
Pebble & Leaf is a brand of Home, garden and hospitality items which have been made from reclaimed wood, furniture, pallets or natural items, due to their being created from reclaimed materials each it’s is unique in it’s own way and has it’s own story of being reborn into something beautiful again and built to last and be enjoyed for generations to come - Hooray!
The aim here is to encourage you, the consumer and our nation to buy reclaimed rather than mass manufactured to reduce the excessive waste issue we have in this country, with millions of tonnes of re usable wood and furniture going to landfill every year, by buying reclaimed items from us rather than imported you are contributing to helping our environment in more ways than you could know.
