"Is this the most complicated cylinder swap ever?…” 👀🔥

This one was absolute madness from start to finish.

The customer wanted to upgrade from a vented cylinder to a new unvented setup… "simple enough normally, right?

Wrong. 😅

The old cylinder was on one side of the house.
The new cylinder location needed to be on the COMPLETE opposite side.

The problem?
Different floor levels.
No direct route.
And to make things even worse…

The customer had ONLY JUST had a brand new bathroom fitted by another company. 😬

So the ONLY way of getting the new pipework across the property was to:

▪️ Half dismantle the brand new bathroom
▪️ Lift sections of the new floor
▪️ Run an entirely new bank of pipework through the room
▪️ Re-route everything into the new airing cupboard
▪️ Install and pipe the new unvented cylinder
▪️ Then rebuild and reconnect the bathroom like we were never even there 👌

Honestly… one of those jobs where you stop halfway through and think:
“How on earth did we end up doing this?” 😂

But THIS is where experience matters.
Planning.
Problem solving.
Attention to detail.

When we finished, the customer got:
✅ A massively upgraded hot water system
✅ Better pressure and performance
✅ A cleaner modern setup
✅ And a bathroom put back together perfectly

No shortcuts.
No bodges.
I'm just doing the job properly.

Now THIS is how you look after your plumber 😂🔥

Turned up today to fit a new boiling hot water kitchen tap… and the customer had laid on a full mini buffet 👀

We’re talking: 🍫 Mixed chocolates
🥜 Dry roasted peanuts
🍬 Skittles
🍰 Meringue pieces
🍺 And even a beer waiting for me afterwards 😂

Honestly, you can’t beat working for good people. We’re very lucky to have some amazing customers and little things like this genuinely go a long way 👊

This one nearly broke me… 🤯😂

Just been to a plumbing fault that has genuinely tested every bit of experience and patience I’ve built up over the years.

One of those jobs where:

nothing makes sense

symptoms point in the wrong direction

every “obvious” answer turns out to be wrong

I had to dig DEEP into years and years of plumbing knowledge to finally work out what was actually causing the issue 👀

Honestly, I’d be amazed if 1% of plumbers guessed this correctly.

I’m not giving anything away just yet… but I’ll be very interested to see the guesses 👇

Another bathroom transformation completed by the MTP team 🔥

This one was a full strip out and complete renovation from the ground up.

We fully reworked the room including:
✔ Full shower board installation throughout
✔ New bath, basin & toilet
✔ New flooring
✔ Decoration works
✔ Finishing details throughout
✔ Full installation completed to our usual MTP standard

For this project we used contrasting black and white shower boards to really set the room off and create a clean, modern finish with a bit of impact 👌

The end result came out absolutely amazing and the customer was genuinely blown away with the transformation.

As always, the goal isn’t just to install a bathroom — it’s to create a room that feels high-end, practical and built to last.

Never in a million years did I think I’d one day have my own business… let alone have our own fleet of vans on the road.

Fast forward to now, and seeing this van sat here honestly blows me away. The business has come a long way, and this new addition is definitely next level 🔥

What started as just wanting to do good work and look after customers properly has slowly grown into something I’m incredibly proud of. There’s been long days, stress, setbacks, lessons, risks and sacrifices along the way — but moments like this make it all worth it.
