Slightly bigger job today. Pulling a 10mm cable all the way across the house, through the loft and into a garage. Where we installed a seperate fuse board with spare ways for an EV charger on the future. Also installed a data cable to be used with a CT clamp for the car charger.

This is why periodic testing is so important. This was rented house and was inspected 5 years ago and somehow it passed!...

This is why periodic testing is so important. This was rented house and was inspected 5 years ago and somehow it passed! Tenant states no work has been carried out since. There were so many issues on this.

Exposed conductors

Dangerous connections

Sockets with no earth connection

1mm cables fed from 32 amp MCB

Large holes in consumer unit and accessories

And the list goes on!!

Installing 2 x double sockets in a beautiful new garden in Newbottle. Client was quoted £2700+VAT for this off another electrician!!! Mental. Total was £400 from ourselves. It pays to get a second quote.

Thanks Mr Gas man for installing this meter directly in front of the fuse board. Made testing a real treat.
