Kitchen renovation with wall removal..

Good evening followers old & new..
We are currently working on a kitchen renovation.
The brief was to remove a wall which divided a 1930’s pantry.
Brick up the pantry window.
Remove all wall tiles / skirtings & picture rails.
Strip wallpaper off the walls & ceiling..
Overboard the exposed brick walls & chimney breast..
Remove floor covering..
Re plaster all walls & ceiling.
Spin the gas meter to face into the kitchen & reuse an existing cupboard to house the meter..
Fit new skirtings.
The main priority was budget of which we worked to, achieving this to the penny 😊
Phase 2.
Latex self level screed the floor / lay new flooring & decorate, ready for a new kitchen..

Hello & Welcome back to Design Develop Build Ltd & Inside out restorations..

With over 40 years of experience we have now split Inside out restorations into two companies…

Design Develop Build Ltd will concentrate on interior projects & Inside out restorations will continue to do the external hard landscaping projects..

Here is our latest completed project..

The barn was converted a few years ago albeit the front of the building still had the 4x pairs of oak doors on, which made the interior dark & cold..

We removed the doors & built 4x Timber walls, cladded internally & externally with 18mm OSB with a 150mm PIR insulation between..
3x double glazed windows & French doors were fitted.. & the exterior cladded in green oak, which will be left to silver off to match the existing.
To bring the inside out, we constructed a solid deck in front of the doors, forming a great outdoor space that leads down a few steps towards the garden area

Our clients purchased a beautiful bungalow that had a 4 car garage of which they wanted converted into a part storage area, retaining the existing thermally insulated garage door..
The remaining areas to become part of the existing kitchen area, with the removal of several walls / toilet area & install a roof lantern into a new Epdm roof & guttering system.

Good evening, I thought I’d share this project with you, as you may have a remodelling project you would like help with..
This project was done in 3 phases
Phase 1
Infill the existing outdoor porch area & install a corridor / toilet area & wash area.
This allows the existing downstairs bathroom / Kitchen & utility room walls to be removed.. along with the bathroom utility etc.. which is then created in the new area..
Phase 2
Remove ground floor internal walls / bathroom / utility room etc ready for a new large kitchen dining area..
Phase 3
Design / Build & Install a new modern contemporary kitchen..

Here’s a small project we did back in January..
At the top of the stairs on the landing was a small room which lead to two bedrooms.. Unfortunately this area was kind of land locked & made access difficult to the bedrooms..
We installed a steel H Beam & removed the wall, opening up the landing into a great airy space, making access to the bedrooms far easier..
