Progressing well now the mezzanine construction has been completed.
GW trade counter getting built, Swanage Sparks Ltd new office getting cosier thanks to flooring by Alistair Tomlinson Flooring. 👍👍👍👍
New signage carried out today by Jason O'connell & Alfie O'Connell. 👏👏👏👏
A huge thanks to William Spicer at the The Veterans Forge CIC for the production and fabrication of the window bars, fantastic job 🔨🔥🦾
Still a lot to do but hopefully it will all be worth it.
Apologies if there is a delay in replying to emails and messages at the moment, a few more days and the transition from old office to new should be done, just sockets and internet to finish off ⚡⚡⚡⚡

Please note that GW and Swanage Sparks are separate companies, we have simply teamed up to bring a trade counter to Swanage, with GW renting space within our bigger unit that we are relocating to. GW have asked us to develop the unit and carry out the refurbishment on their behalf.
Wayne will be hiding in his office at the rear 😆
Working the counter will be one of Wayne's sons, Jenson, who will be employed by GW.
Swanage Sparks will not be getting any "favours" or special discounts. This all started out as a little idea between two like minded businesses that's just expanded into what you are seeing develop.
To be able to have stock readily available will be a huge convenience, plus cutting down on vehicle journeys from suppliers and a trade counter in Swanage to fulfill your electrical needs without having to wait for a delivery, so come on fellow sparkies, get your accounts set up with GW and let's make this a Great Western success ⚡⚡⚡

Lots of photos, lots of work, lots of stress, blood, sweat and tears 😣
Progress update for our new unit relocation and development.
From plants to bin delivery to mezzanine construction. All of this while trying to juggle the usual day to day running of Swanage Sparks Ltd 🥵
Now the task of building the new trade counter for GW and getting the racking installed ready for the influx of stock.
Electrical work to complete, not to mention we still have to move everything from our old office and store room to the new unit.

We honestly could not have got to this point without the tools, fork lift, generosity, guidance, humour and advice from our friends and neighbours ♥️🥰

Another full rewire completed in the never ending heatwave 🥵
The hard work and sweat make it all worthwhile when another ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ review comes through from our lovely customer 🥰 All completed ahead of schedule ⏳ in readiness for the preparation of a new arrival 👶 (the suggestion to call the baby Wayne or Waynetta is being considered, probably 🤔

Now on to the development and refurbishment of our new unit as we prepare for our relocation and welcoming GW Electrical Distributors new trade counter to Swanage 💡⚡

In-between all of this we will also start going through the jobs list to book in our ever patient customers who have been waiting to get work done or quoted 🙏

It's time for Swanage Carnival which means it's time for The Sheriff's at Swanage Sparks Ltd to take a break and help keep law & order in the wild west 🤠 Basically, we're having a week off and you'll find us in the Saloon 🍺

The original works of art wooden back boxes that we are taking out on the current rewire, to be replaced with compliant metal ones. Such a shame, they really are a sight to behold (if you're into carpentry). The chamfered edges and joints are just lovely to look at, and date back to when this property was built back in the 1930s. Lead cabling is still in evidence too, but things move on and this home will be up to date with the current standards once completed.
At least we have managed to save most of the bell system, installed by local legends "Parsons" who built many a property around Swanage, and this has been a privilege to be able to keep it in place at the client's request ⚡👍🥰
