Following our previous post, it was an absolute honour to wire up the electric bathroom door to give Dan easy and independent access to his space.

But for us — it wasn’t quite that easy! 😅

Just two days before handover, we planned to commission the system. The installation had gone perfectly… until we returned from lunch to find that the master switch controlling the door had mysteriously vanished.

What followed was hours of searching — through bins, cupboards, and every corner of the house — even calling the manufacturer to try and source a replacement. Unfortunately, it would have taken over a week to make and deliver.

Then, just as panic started to set in for me and , .sausage saved the day 🙌 — he found the switch back at the storage compound and brought it straight over.

The stress in that moment was unreal, but the relief when everything came together made it all worth it. Another small reminder that teamwork really does make the dream work! 💪
