We try not to work them due to other commitments but we had a busy Saturday this Saturday.
Completed a few of these porches with a local carpenter and really pleased with the final product every time. Not only happy with the finish but considering the rain and hailstones 🤬I had it survived 🙏.
Tom was just as busy with this curved ceiling a few doors down, with one of the bigger ceilings he’s done to date with a curve. Completing it with no help or guidance from myself, he’s really showing a great future in the trade 💪🏻.

Been a bit of a strange start to the year, we were back for the first week of January for a few smaller jobs but after a busy couple of months a bit of time off was much needed (after working through Xmas).

Fully recovered we started with this holiday chalet.
A two coat sand and cement smooth/alpine finish. We had to put the lines in once we made the wall smooth to match other chalets on the park.

We never recommend rendering this time of year but unfortunately it’s the only time of year anyone can do work externally on these properties…….with a lot of rain dodging we got there in the end, would I want to do it again?…..No Comment 🥵😂

I can’t believe it’s that time of year already 🥵😂.

Here are a few pictures from our final job of the year. I haven’t posted as much as I’d like recently, but that’s usually a good sign — it means we’ve been busy!

This job included a full bedroom, hallway, stairs, landing and downstairs toilet, with a few patches to finish off. It was a mix of new plasterboard and older walls. It never looks the nicest when drying, but check the last pic for the finish quality 😜

I want to say a massive thank you to everyone for the continued support. A lot of our work comes from word of mouth and recommendations, and it truly doesn’t go unnoticed 🙏

We’re heading into next year hitting the ground running with bookings already in the diary. Which will mean there will be a job opportunity coming up in the new year — I’ll share more about that soon.

Until then, THANK YOU again to all our customers and friends for supporting the business. And if we’ve completed work for you this year, a quick, honest review would help us massively.

Thank you and hope to see you in the New Year!

Job we completed last week for our friends at Tywi Damp Proofing Treatments.
Pretty straightforward plastering over new boards…just a little bit warm on the fourth floor 🥵😂.

3 Walls which me and Andrew shared. We had a wall each and shared responsibility on the third…question is, can you tell who did which? 🤔🧐🤙🏻

Last year we had multiple full house render jobs, but the smaller extensions, garages & garden walls have been a real nice change this year.

Here we have a 6mm dashing finish (to match the house) on a newly built extension.

Quick 3 day turnaround for me on this while Andrew has been busy tackling some smaller jobs on his own.

More render projects to come, with two big smooth finish render jobs coming up in the next few weeks.

One of the nicest Mondays we have had for a while.

Our friends Tywi Damp Proofing Treatments keeping us busy with some more ISO-THERM (more information on previous posts).

The more we use this product the more we really like it, like plastering a carpet 😂😂.

Hope you all had a good Monday and stay safe with the heat 🥵😂🤙🏻

People ask us “do your shoulders hurt when you’re doing a ceiling?” Usually I reply no….but this one 😖.

Customer had water damage in the ceiling, meaning we had to pull down the areas affected, re-plasterboard the patches and plaster.

A bit different to your average ceiling, this is called a hard cove, where you almost create a curve/cove going up from the dado rail in to the ceiling, which all has to be completed in one:
5 Wet Angles
6 Internal Curves
1 External Curve

A lot of technical work, although frustrating at times we got through it, this being only the third time completing a hard cove, we are really happy with the finish.
