I popped back to Swindon Town FC yesterday to pop the finishing touches on this new mural.

Not the easiest to get decent photos of as the desks were all bunched up so that I could get to the wall, and piled high with random stuff, but I've taken pics from a few different angles to give the general idea.

A more illustration-y style than usual for me, it was a lot of fun doing something a little different.

This one is in the club's media room, meaning that I had the awkward pleasure of painting away quietly in there on the previous Saturday while a very pi**ed off Ian Holloway was doing his post match interview after a loss to Crewe Alexander!

In general though it was a lot of fun painting in there across two match days (the main men's club last week, and the women's team yesterday), getting lots of nice words and encouragement from the staff and players, and soaking up the atmosphere of the busy club. So much happens behind the scenes on a match day, it's a lively vibe!

I will be back there in a month to paint in another one of the club's offices, looking forward to it.

Winner winner chicken dinner!

We ended up with 30 entrants for the sticker draw - 26 on here and 4 on Instagram.

So I numbered everyone in the order they came through and popped them into a random number generator, and the winner is....
... drum roll .....

Please drop me a message with your address and I will pop the stickers in the post for you

I do have a mural in progress at the moment, but while waiting for an opportunity to get that one finished up, here's something else....

Yesterday evening I happened to pass by that garage door I painted a month or so back, and the home owner has since added some artificial grass and rocks etc in front of it, and it looks really lovely!

Not entirely practical if you wanted to park your car in there :) but she uses the garage purely for storage and has access to it via a side door, so the front garage door never gets opened.

Cute, huh?

To be perfectly frank, I never know how legit these things are, and they never answered me when I asked who nominated me when they first emailed me a couple of months ago to say I was on the short list, but hey, apparently I've won an award for Best Bespoke Mural Artist 2026 (South West), go me!!!!

And if it was one of you guys out there who nominated me for it, thank you :)

It's free stickers time again!!

For those of you who are fairly new to my page, this will also be new to you.

Every year or so, I get a big batch of stickers made up from all the walls I've enjoyed painting since, well, since I last made stickers :)

(These tend to be things I have painted just for fun, or at paint festivals, not private commissions)

And then I set aside a sheet of each new design as a little prize for you lot who have bothered to follow me, as I do really appreciate the support.

So, one of you gets to win a sheet of each of the 6 new designs.

Please just comment on this post if you would like to be in the running, and I will pick a name out of a hat on Saturday Oct 17th.

UK based peeps only please (to keep my postage costs reasonable)

Good luck!

Well, my Chippenham squirrels mural got in the local paper today, so that's nice.

But they have printed a photo of the progress at the end of day one (one third through the 3 day job) and captioned it "the completed mural".I mean, come ON guys, it's clearly nowhere near completed in that picture !?!?!?!

This rather makes me look like I paint half a mural and then swan off leaving it in a mess. I'm not best pleased.

Oh well, not much I can do about it now - photo of the ACTUAL completed mural below.

This notoriously rubbish and grumpy patient is blatantly appealing for sympathy 🙂 🤧🥴

My adorable, but spontaneous disease conjuring, toddler grandson has managed to give everyone who has come within 50 feet of him recently an absolute stinker of a cold. So apologies to anyone who is waiting on responses/design work from me at the moment, I may be a little slower off the mark than usual.

Will stock up on satsumas tomorrow, a good overdose of vitamin C usually does the job. Until then, what Leslie Knope said:

All done :)

A totally tropical garden transformation in Minety, Wilts - taking inspiration from the gorgeous plants already in place.

Not the easiest to take photos of, but I have included a couple of angles...

And that's my summer season finished! Indoor walls here I come.
