Black and White Conservation

Black and White Conservation Toby Robson is an NVQ 3 qualified Heritage Conservator specialising in stone repair and conservation.

He graduated from Bath College of Building and construction and has worked for Nimbus Conservation before becoming self-employed I'm a stone mason who trained at Bath College and I have an NVQ3 in Heritage Conservation. I've worked for Nimbus conservation on a number of projects including conservation of the Tyntesfield Orangery and The Bristol Pro Cathedral. I also run a small scale foundry and c

ast in aluminium, bronze, brass and iron. Work undertaken includes stone conservation (repairs; pinning, gluing, lime mortar repairs and re-pointing) and re-carving/replacement of structurally compromised stone.

I put a couple of mortar repairs into the worst eroded areas yesterday. The clients like, and want some more! So here we go: gonna tackle those two horizontal spots where a weak bed in the stone has weathered away...
