So we’ve just installed our first central heating system, using an electric Strom E-Boiler. 63-amp 11 KW. These systems are ideal for flats etc if you don’t have either gas or oil. We replaced old economy 7 system .
In order to ensure main supply isn’t overloaded we also fitted a Priority Consumer unit. So if you have an electric shower as priority circuit it turns the electric boiler of whilst in the shower then back on when you get out the shower. These Priority boards are also ideal if you want a EV charger and your main fuse is not big enough.
