Asked to add a few sockets found a few junction boxes and bits under the floor and that the whole house and kitchen were on one ring main/circuit so not enough for a modern house with all that is plugged in nowadays. So work commences adding two new ring mains. One for upstairs one for downstairs perfect time to do it though before the new carpets etc go down so always worth getting electrical checked prior as it would have made a mess to carry out after.

Friday morning fusebox change no main earth cable to old board, old night storage board converted to mains board via 6mm off of mains switch and earth cable snipped off and no bond to the gas meter 😦 previous electrician obviously didn’t think there was a need for them
