Work is well underway at our Sherborne House Car Park Passivhaus project in Newton Abbot, with foundations and below-ground works progressing and the footprint of the new homes now clearly taking shape.

Funded by the Brownfield Land Release Fund (BLRF2) and the One Public Estate Programme, this scheme will deliver 23 social rented homes, including accessible flats, designed to Passivhaus Plus standard, transforming a brownfield site into high-quality, energy-efficient homes for local people.

During their placements, the students spent time across a range of departments, gaining an insight into the different roles and career opportunities within the construction industry.

Progress continues at the Heavitree Theatres project in Exeter.

The latest aerial views capture two key stages of the build. Reinforcement and formwork are progressing across the second floor as further concrete pours continue, while below, the temporary support structure is being removed from the ground floor following successful concrete cube test results. With each section achieving the required strength, the formwork is being struck, and back-propping operations are progressing, with completion scheduled for mid-September.

Elsewhere, preparations continue for the next phase, including piling within the courtyard along with the commencement of the new electrical infrastructure, which is due in early September.

Based in our Head Office located in Teignmouth, you’ll need excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Previous experience in administration, project coordination or document control would be an advantage.

We are pleased to announce the completion of the refurbishment of the cardiac catheterisation laboratories at Derriford Hospital.

The project has delivered two upgraded cath labs equipped with advanced imaging technology, providing a modern clinical environment to support the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of cardiac conditions, including coronary artery disease, heart attacks, arrhythmias and structural heart disease.

The new facilities have been designed to improve efficiency for clinical teams while reducing radiation exposure for both patients and staff, helping to deliver safer, more precise cardiac procedures for communities across Plymouth and the surrounding areas.

As always, we would like to thank all of our supply chain partners who have contributed to another successful project completion for our valued client.

recently welcomed pupils from both Mullion Primary and Mullion Secondary School onto site at our Polurrian Hotel project to sign the steel beams ahead of the next phase of the hotel's £10 million redevelopment.

The visits form part of the wider partnership between the Polurrian Hotel and the schools, giving pupils the opportunity to see a live construction site and gain a genuine understanding of the built environment. For every pupil who signed a beam, that mark will remain in place long after the building is complete.

We are proud to support initiatives that engage young people with construction and the wider community, and we look forward to continuing our work with the Polurrian Hotel as this next phase of the redevelopment progresses.
