🚀 Today we hosted a fully funded Teacher Training Day at In-Comm Training & Business Services funded by Cedo https://www.cedo.com/sustainability

We worked with 10 Primary D&T leaders to explore how engineering can be embedded into the curriculum through practical, engaging learning.

🔧 From mechanical engineering and mechatronics to electrical engineering and programming, teachers explored how to make learning relatable through real-world roles and inspiring role models.

🛠️ We got hands-on with mechanisms, mechanical and pneumatic systems, electrical systems and control technology all connected to the Cedo philosophy which is Grow with purpose and the three pillars

Most importantly, we reflected on the skills children develop through the process—not just the final outcome:

💡 Creativity
🧩 Problem-solving
💪 Resilience
🔍 Enquiry
🧪 Experimental learning

Teachers now have practical examples to take back to their schools, helping to inspire pupils and empower colleagues. 🙌

Have to say my favourite creation was the biscuit 🍪 dunker 😀which moved away from the brief slightly 😅

What a privilege it was to be invited to attend the Chamber of Commerce awards on Friday evening, representing -Comm Training. They were shortlisted for the Community Champion – Business in the Community Award.

We were at the RAF Museum today delivering a bespoke workshop on behalf of the RAF Museum Learning team ✈️

We welcomed a fantastic group of Year 10 students from St Peter’s Collegiate Academy, who took on the challenge:

“To develop a logistics system to transport goods from an aircraft to a land vehicle—quickly and safely.”

Working in teams, students designed, built, tested, refined, and ultimately presented their solutions at the end of the day. Along the way, they stepped into real RAF roles, including:
• Engineer Officer
• Vehicle & Mechanical Equipment Technician
• Electrician
• Advanced Manufacture & Repair Technician

The aim? To explore careers within the RAF while developing practical STEM skills.

We design and deliver bespoke workshops tailored to your organisation’s objectives—fully aligned with the Science, D&T, Engineering and Maths curriculum. From planning and resourcing to delivery and impact evaluation, we handle everything (including all the paperwork for schools!).
