No surprise that I’m late posting this, but I’m pleased to announce that my entry for the UK Fencing Awards - Domestic Fencing Contractor of the Year award was recognised and consequently was awarded 1st place.
This is a great achievement, and it is humbling to know that my work and efforts for providing professional fencing solutions have been recognised! I know I’m not the quickest at what I do, but I genuinely always strive to provide the best solution for the customer.

We were invited down to Mercedes Benz World for the presentation, and enjoyed a tour, driving simulator, food, a talk from Perry Mcarthy AKA The Stig and left the evening with a comprehensive goodie bag.

My thanks goes to Sue & her late husband Simon, for there trust (and patience) in me to carry out the winning project, friends and family for support day to day, fencing friends who we share ideas with, and the Association of Fencing Industries for providing a great event & providing a driving force for quality in our industry.

Our first large Horserail Fencing UK job, completed this summer for some great new clients.

We suggested using Horserail top rail, and (Horserails) Hotcote wire to divide the clients fields into manageable paddocks utilising the topography of the ground, following ridges and banks for the best utilisation the larger field layout.

All timber was supplied by Mcveigh Parker & Co Ltd, which was Scanpole Fencing creosote timber which should give 30+ years of service life.

This was my first time using horserail on a large scale, and I highly recommend it, over post and rail for horse fencing. Its ability to be electrified if great, while still giving a large visual impact that horses can see.

A small length of traditional post & rail with rabbit netting to great a secure boundary for pets, was also installed. This was chosen over the horserail in this scenario for its asthetic & traditional properties for domestic boundaries.

All in all, 370m of fencing, 6 gates, all joined up, ready for electric, which when tested was hogging out 8,500 volts through out.

Thanks to Ruth @ Horserail UK for her help & support, and the clients for there patience and trust in me while completing this job.
