We are Hiring a Metal roofing Estimator

We are looking for an estimator to join our metal roofing team to assist the current Metal roofing manager who is mostly based out of office. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and driven to help run and expand our already successful metal roofing division, this is a position with lots of scope for further opportunity, potentially the right driven candidate will go on to take on significant management responsibility as well.
Ideally suited to someone currently in the construction industry in a similar role in roofing but we are offering full training for the right candidate including the technical aspects.

The main day to day job role will involve:
• Estimating all our metal roofing and cladding enquiries, this is lead, zinc, copper, stainless steel using our pricing system
• Speaking to customers and answering enquiries via email and telephone- this is to builders and direct to clients and architects
• Liaising directly with the roofing manager on all matters of day to day running of the business
• Ordering materials
• Assistance with hiring new sub-contractors and employees
• Assistance with pricing traditional pitched roofing (tile/slate etc)

Ideal experience and qualities:
• Experience with metal roofing -although not essential as we can train the right candidate
• Experience with roofing generally including traditional tiling and slating
• Experience in the construction industry in a similar role
• Excellent communication skills- you will need to very confident in speaking to
potential clients, builders and architects
• Ability to work under own initiative and set own goals and solve problems
• Good experience with Microsoft office/365 and excel is
• Drivers licence is essential

Salary
We are looking for the right candidate more then anything and willing to offer good rates of pay for the right person and is down to experience and suitability. The salary offered would be different for someone relatively new to the industry vs someone who has good direct experience in metal roofing (or say pitched roofing).

At our office based in Southburgh, Norfolk

Hours
Salaried but generally 0730- 1700 – 30 mins morning break and 45 mins afternoon break

Hiring bricklayers & multi skilled tradesmen

We are looking to take on builders (ideally) with historical building experience and a masonry (brick & flint) backround to work on a wide variety of projects from private houses to country halls and churches and even royal properties. Ideally this will be someone who is already experienced in conservation works, although a general builder/ bricklayer etc would also be suitable as a lot of the skills are the same.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and always produces the best results, although speed is important, the final product is what matters to us. We have a very good reputation and work for some prestigious clients and institutions, so this is very important to us.

We are looking for time served carpenters to join our team. Also considering sub contractors for continuous or one off work. Lots of grant aided recession proof works throughout this year and lots coming in.
We are a family owned and operated building company based in central Norfolk. We have a reputation for being highly customer focused and producing work of exceptional quality. We mostly undertake conservation/ heritage building works on historic & listed buildings but also do all types of general building (new build, extension, refurbishment).
Who we’re looking for:
Ideally someone who is looking to do things the right way, takes pride in their work and always works to the highest standards.
You will work on your own and with a very skilled team of guys with exceptionally good work ethics and be supported by our office team day to day. The work is very varied, from historic oak roofs to first and second fix in new build (our own projects only)
Desired skills (some or all of the below)
• Roofing carpentry (pitched & flat roofs, dormers etc)
• Experience working with oak
• Heritage carpentry experience
• 1st & 2nd Fix carpentry in new/ refurbishment work
• Joinery experience
• Any other building experience on top of carpentry is advantageous
• Any qualifications, CSCS and H&S accreditations is advantageous

• Must have a driving licence

Yard Person & 7.5t Delivery Driver Position
Due to a member of staff moving on we now have an open position for a Yard Person and delivery driver for our Roofing and building companies based in Southburgh. The role is a mix of local driving around Norfolk/ Suffolk and Yard duties.

Duties include:
Driver: Driving our 7.5t Hiab Tipper & 3.5t tipper vehicles to sites across the region. This includes delivering gear to guys on site, picking things up, site set up and clearance, going to builders merchants & suppliers, liaising with our guys directly to learn of material/ equipment requirements they may have. There will be a very occasional need to drive further afield to pick up goods or equipment from anywhere in the country.

Yard: As part of the duties there will be some general yard management or our small yard. Duties include: Keeping the yard clear, loading up from stock, helping our guys load up in the mornings and generally keeping an eye on stock levels. Duties will also involve unloading deliveries when in the yard with our teleporter, experience with any loader or forklift is desired but we are willing to put the right candidate through the appropriate training.
Requirements
- A 7.5T Class C1 UK/EA licence, CPC card and ideally a Tachograph card
- Good driving experience, ideally with van/ tipper or larger vehicles
- Be able to work very well on your own initiative and have good common sense
- This is not a full time driving role, you will likely spend more time out of you seat then in it!
- Be physically fit, this can be a strenuous role with some hand unloading and loading of materials, shovelling rubble/sand etc, especially when clearing sites
- Have experience driving trailers and be legally able to
- Good interpersonal skills, you will be dealing with fellow staff and clients
- 0700am start at our premises in Southburgh
Advantageous experience but not essential
- Experience in the construction industry/ materials in general
- Any tickets or experience with forklift/ teleporters/ hiab
- Any digger or machinery experience
- Manual handling certificate
Other info
Hours: 0700 - 16:00 including 30min tea break and a 45 min lunch break (40 paid hours a week). We will need some occasional earlier starts or later finishes for deliveries. Overtime available if desired.
Pay:
We are offering a rate of between £11.50 & £13/ hr negotiable depending on experience
