We are a family run company that prides itself in creating wonderful bespoke products to the specification of our customers. With a full in-house team of highly skilled carpenters, joiners and decorators, we can offer a fully managed end-to-end service to our clients. We’ve had our skills tested by the toughest taskmasters in the business – the Church of England and the rules governing listed buildings and conservation. Absolutely nothing gets past these guardians of the national heritage, and the decision to use us on projects like these is the most glowing testament we can provide for the first-rate quality of our work. But although we’re familiar with the particular constraints of listed buildings, we’re not wedded to the past. We’re delighted to take on the challenge of giving structures a contemporary edge. Traditional timber framing has been used for centuries, and many of the same principles still sit at the heart of the oak frames we build today.

The team have been busy building this oak frame in the workshop. You can see the peg holes have all been marked out, ready for the frame to be raised and drawn together onsite.

This truly bespoke design will form the link between an existing garden room and a new extension. The angles and geometry are anything but conventional, coming together at a sharp corner that we’ve turned into a statement focal point with traditional curved braces.

Once installed and glazed, this will become a beautiful, light-filled space that connects the two areas while creating a feature in its own right.

We can’t wait to see this one take shape on site. 🌿

The lighting chosen for this project is a real statement feature. The sculptural design and rich metallic textures of this centrepiece beautifully complement the surrounding oak, creating a striking focal point beneath the vaulted ceiling.

First impressions matter, and an oak framed porch is a striking way to transform the entrance to your home.

More than just shelter from the weather, a bespoke oak porch creates a welcoming entrance while adding character and complementing both traditional and contemporary properties.

Every Parker Oak porch is handcrafted using traditional mortise-and-tenon joints, secured with oak pegs; methods that have been used for generations. Built from sustainably sourced oak, each frame naturally matures over time, developing even more character as it weathers.

We loved creating this porch for a client here in North Yorkshire. The warm tones of the oak sit beautifully against the traditional brickwork, creating an entrance that aligns with the aesthetic of the rest of the house.

The team have been making the roof structure for a garden room this week.

The beautiful length of timber we showed you at the beginning of the week has now been shaped into the 8 metre tie beam you can see here.

As a slow-growing timber, oak is renowned for its beautiful natural curves and character.

We carefully select each piece to ensure its unique shape becomes a defining feature of every oak structure we create.

This particular timber has been chosen to be shaped into a tie beam, creating the focal point of a bespoke garden room. It's a piece that will bring both strength and character to the finished frame.
