✨ Office Transformation – Start to Finish ✨

Another project completed where I managed and saw everything through from start to finish 💪

This job was all about completely transforming a small, tired office space into a practical, modern working environment.

🔨 Work carried out:
• Wallpaper fully stripped back
• Ceiling overboarded and walls skimmed by SCDH Plastering
• Old floorboards lifted
• Insulation fitted between floor joists to improve warmth and efficiency
• New subfloor laid
• Floating LVT click flooring installed

To finish the space off, I designed and manufactured a bespoke handmade office setup, including:
✔️ Custom base units
✔️ Built-in bookcase shelving
✔️ Tailored layout to maximise storage and workspace

From the first strip-out to the final fix, this was a full transformation — creating a warm, functional and stylish office ready to be used 👌

Another recently completed project ✔️

I was recommended to this customer by the company who manufactured and supplied this installation — always great to be trusted through recommendation.

This was a like-for-like design, but upgraded with modern improvements to enhance performance, longevity and efficiency.

The door and frame are fabricated from Accoya, a high-performance modified timber known for its exceptional durability, stability and resistance to rot — making it ideal for external joinery.

Upgrades included:

• Double glazed units in the top light windows
• Smooth-operating ball bearing hinges
• Improved weather sealing and draught proofing
• Higher overall efficiency and long-term reliability

The goal was to retain the original character of the property while bringing everything up to modern standards — better insulation, smoother operation and improved comfort for the homeowner.

Another happy customer and a job completed to a high standard 👌

✨ Last Kitchen Install of 2025 Complete ✨

Wrapped up my final kitchen project of 2025 for a lovely customer in Northallerton – and what a way to finish the year!

This one was a full transformation from start to finish:

🔨 Old kitchen removed and walls professionally plastered by Dean Heslop
💡 New ceiling downlighters and additional sockets installed by Richard Parvin Electrical Services
🪵 Barn Oak LVT flooring supplied by Calverts Carpets
🏡 Stunning Clerkenwell 2-tone Bronze & Charcoal kitchen, designed to the customer’s exact specification by Howdens
🛠️ Expertly installed by REH Kitchens & Joinery

The bronze and charcoal combination really gives this space a modern, premium feel – paired perfectly with the warmth of the Barn Oak flooring.

A big thank you to everyone involved and to the customer for trusting me with their home. That’s 2025 signed off in style! 🙌

Cold room 🥶 to warm room 🥵

This cold bathroom with single glazed decrative stained glass boxes sash sliders is now toasty and warm after retro fitting new secondary double-glazed units.

The original window boards were not thick enough to take these new units so firstly the window boards needed to be extended first. Then the onto installing the double glazed secondary units fitted to the face of the old windows. Trimmed off and painted to match.

After seeing some of my recent work i was contacted by a lovely lady on Sowerby Gateway wanting a simple door making and installing on her under stairs storage space in the kitchen to hide all items stored.

A simple 1 door cupboard door and frame installed with decorative detailing to match that of existing doors in the property and also matching architrave to fit with the rest of the house.

Once painted I think you’ll agree it looks like it was there from the start.

Nice little kitchen install in Helperby. This customer was a builder and had removed his own kitchen along with bricking up a side window to allow for a tall appliance unit to house a new high level oven. And moved the existing window more central to the room. This required me to move all the existing plumbing including the cold water stopcock (main feed to the house) 2 of the new cupboards needed to be adapted to work around a nib in the wall that supported a steel from an extension the customer added a few years back.

Another returning customer… after this couple moved down from Northumberland I was one of the first tradesmen they contacted to hang some doors. After asking if I knew of any architects and builders I passed on some numbers. They went ahead and had this kitchen extension built using both my recommendations.
