Delivered today - two interesting little chairs given a new lease of life. I made the cushions out of foam and sewed new covers using gorgeous wool from . The backs are covered in recycled leather from and the decorative nails are from Heico Direct.

This Ercol suite now has a new lease of life - new webbing for the sofa and new fabric for the sofa and arm chairs. This was a big sewing job and included 96 buttons and 20 pairs of snap fasteners. What a transformation!

I had the most wonderful weekend making a stool, starting with a log of ash. Thank you HTMorris Furniture - Traditional Furniture Maker and Alex Skawinski for sharing their expertise and giving us the freedom to be creative with our stool designs! Thank you to gotgreensfarm for hosting and for the delicious food made from vegetables grown on the farm. A special mention also to Stan and Patty the dogs and George the cat for their company! 😍

I'm utterly delighted with the stool I made and I'm so pleased I managed to upholster the top. I used a fabric remnant to cover the stool and horse hair for the padding.

New webbing for this Ercol sofa before I sew new covers for the cushions. Hard work on a hot morning. Definitely a two person job, so I was grateful for help from 💪🏻

Three hours of button making condensed into 12 seconds. These little extras add up to a lot - buttons, piping, top stitching, pattern matching etc - they all take time.

Delivered today - this stunning chaise longue. I stripped off the old fabric and luckily the upholstery underneath was sound. I added some new webbing to the bottom to help support the springs, but other than that the upholstery was good enough for me to cover with new fabric. Thank you to Eddie from EJ Southall for the repair on the veneer.
