Today's job,removing the good oil out a oil tank and then removing the contaminated oil that has a lot of water and sludge in it.
Unfortunately there was 120litres of contaminated oil wasted that could of been averted using the proper preventative measures.

For those of you that has oil tanks please put one of these in if you want to keep your maintenance costs down.
These are water soakers designed to take any water out the oil that lies on the bottom of the tank.
This is a large 100mm one which has soaked up nearly 2 litres of water you can see how much the red bag has expanded compared to the new one and that has only been in a week.

Unfortunately the tank that this came out of is sitting with water at the bottom right to the outlet.So now I have to drain a 1000litres of good oil out of it and drain the 100 litres of contaminated oil out and into drums.Also flush out the oil line right to the burner,new burner nozzle and fuel pump.
And the price of oil just now you cannot afford to lose this much.
