Another busy and successful year comes to a close, and we are now finished for the festive break.

In the run-up to Christmas, our team at William Duncan Plumbing & Heating has been busy transforming this bathroom into a modern, stylish, and practical space — and our clients are delighted with the finished result 🤩

This project included a full strip-out and upgrade, with new wall and floor finishes, a sleek Carron Quantum bath with a luxury drencher shower, modern fitted furniture, upgraded ventilation and lighting, and a fresh, clean finish throughout. We also installed a new towel rail, safety flooring, ceiling panels with LED downlights, and took care of everything from electrics to waste removal — all ready to be enjoyed over the festive period.

This recent project was a full strip-out and rebuild, including:

• Removed the existing toilet, basin, shower screen, tray and valve
• Stripped old tiles and damaged plasterboard
• Removed old flooring and chipboard, replacing it with 𝐦𝐨𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞-𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐛𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝
• Took out the radiator and ceiling panels

🚿 𝐏𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐢𝐧𝐠 & 𝐋𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐀𝐝𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬
• Altered supply and waste pipes to suit the new layout
• Fitted new moisture-resistant plasterboard around the shower area
• Built a custom bulkhead complete with an illuminated alcove for storage, the new bulkhead was also created to accommodate a new Anti slip Matki 𝟐𝐦 𝐱 𝟖𝟎𝟎𝐦𝐦 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 floor inc. centre concealed fast flow waste being installed

• Installed a concealed 𝐭𝐰𝐨-𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐯𝐞 positioned for easy access
• Fitted a 250mm flush fitting ceiling drench head plus slide rail kit

• Finished with a toughened glass shower panel for a modern walk-in look

• Modified heating pipes for new 𝟏𝟖𝟎𝟎 𝐱 𝟓𝟎𝟎𝐦𝐦 & 800 x 500mm 𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐥 𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐥s, with colour matching valves
• Adjusted the 4” waste to suit the new close-coupled toilet

• Fitted a new 𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐦𝐢𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐫 with demista pad & built-in toothbrush charger – independently switched
• Added new 𝐔𝐏𝐕𝐂 𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐥𝐬, 3 LED downlights, and an inline extractor fan with separate switching

This week, the William Duncan Plumbing & Heating team has proudly completed another full bathroom refurbishment. From start to finish, we’ve delivered a modern, practical, and stylish space designed to last.

🔧 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞’𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐞:
• Removed the old shower, tray, wet wall panels, radiator, basin, toilet, and lighting.
• Installed moisture-resistant plasterboard throughout for long-lasting durability.
• Fitted a sleek 𝟏𝟖𝟎𝟎 𝐱 𝟖𝟎𝟎𝐦𝐦 𝐥𝐨𝐰-𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐧 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐲 with easy-clean fast flow waste.
• Added a stylish 𝐜𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐫 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐯𝐞 with a 250mm stainless steel drencher head + slide rail handset.
• Installed a 𝟏𝟏𝟎𝟎𝐦𝐦 𝐜𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐠𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐥 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐟𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐥.
• Upgraded to a modern 𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐥 𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐥 (𝟏𝟐𝟎𝟎 𝐱 𝟔𝟎𝟎𝐦𝐦) with minimal matching valves.
• Created a 𝐟𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐋𝐄𝐃-𝐥𝐢𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐭, alongside a concealed cistern & back-to-wall toilet with soft-close seat.
• Fitted an 𝟖𝟎𝟎𝐦𝐦 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐦 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐲 𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭 with ceramic basin, chrome mixer tap & a stunning 𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐦𝐢𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐫 with demist pad.
• Improved ventilation with a 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐢𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐧 and 3-gang lighting control.
• Tiled the shower area with 𝐈𝐫𝐨𝐧 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐲 𝟏𝟐𝟎𝟎 𝐱 𝟔𝟎𝟎 𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬, including a 𝐋𝐄𝐃-𝐥𝐢𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞, plus full floor tiling & splashback.
• Finished the room ready for client decoration – clean, tidy, and ready to enjoy.
