Today's spotlight is on two nominations we're incredibly proud of:

When we launched our Modular Training Programme in 2024, our goal was simple: give locksmiths the skills and confidence to modify our award-winning 3-star AP cylinders while keeping their accreditation intact.

Using the very same modular system we use in-house, attendees learn how to resize cylinders and swap end sections quickly and correctly saving time, reducing waste, and ensuring the right fit every time.

Seeing this programme recognised alongside our AP cylinder is something we're incredibly proud of. It's a reflection of our commitment to supporting the trade, not just with great products, but with the knowledge and training to get the very best from them.

A few week ago, visited one of our long-standing customers, .e.s_locks and what an incredible visit it was!

She had the opportunity to tour Nicky Chapman's impressive workshop, where keys are cut, new ideas are brought to life, and a wide range of products are stocked and ready for customers. It's always inspiring to see the passion, skill and dedication that goes into running an independent locksmith business.

Natasha also sat down with Nicky to hear more about the history of DES Locksmiths, what sets the business apart, and the journey that's made it such a respected name in the local community. His commitment to the trade and his customers is clear to see, and it's no surprise that DES Locksmiths has become such a trusted business.

When this day comes around, we're reminded of the incredible impact the Black Country has had on manufacturing, engineering and infrastructure not just here in the UK, but around the world.

At APECS, we're proud to play our part in continuing that tradition. For years, we've been committed to producing high-quality cylinders and door hardware, upholding the reputation for craftsmanship and innovation that this region is known for.

It's an honour to be part of a community with such a remarkable history from the pioneers who developed the world's first commercially successful steam engine, to the courageous women chainmakers who fought for fair pay, and the glassmakers whose work helped create the iconic Crystal Palace.
