⭐From an old store room to a new office and conference room!⭐

We recently undertook an air conditioning project working closing with one of our customers. First fix of tray work and ancillaries along with both fan coils went in before the suspended ceiling was erected.

We then returned after the rooms were finished to install the facias and wall mounted controllers as well as the two condensing units! The customer can now enjoy the benefit of heating the space until the summer, and then cooling it☀️❄️

Reflotec Solutions were first approached several months ago by one of our main customers to design and install a replacement refrigeration system to one of their production areas on site.

Many talks were encountered to ensure this met their requirements as well as future proofing the system for longevity. The system would also meet their own customers requirements also, which is critical for auditing purposes.

The new system was installed during the week alongside the existing system, and the change over of evaporators and final commissioning was taken place out of hours during the weekend. De-commissioning of the old system was also carried out by Reflotec.

We had two bespoke stainless steel dual discharge evaporators made, with coated coils for when wash downs were carried out. The previous evaporators had severe corrosion because of the chemicals they used when they cleaned. The system was designed on Ultra-Low GWP R454C, with a GWP OF 148. The previous system was on R404A, GWP of 3922. This is a 96% reduction in GWP alone. We also selected a Bitzer Ecolite Condensing unit with capacity loading for ultimate efficiency. We also installed leak detection, with beacons and sounders inside and outside the Ishida room that also had signage for critical leaks (customers name has been removed from signage).

The project was not only completed before the deadline, it was also within budget.

Job Overview:

Due to continued expansion, we are on the lookout for skilled refrigeration & air conditioning engineers to join our team - industrial experience preferred but not essential (training provided). You must hold recognised qualifications and come with significant knowledge of working with and on refrigeration & air conditioning systems. You will carry out a variety of tasks both independently and alongside other skilled and experienced refrigeration engineers onsite. Must have a good understanding of fault finding, service, and maintenance, even better if you have installation experience also.

In return, we offer competitive pay (experience dependent), overtime, on-call pay, 33 days annual leave, company van, company phone, team events, and private healthcare.

Duties:

•Install, maintain, and repair various industrial / commercial refrigeration & air conditioning systems.
•Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics to identify issues with equipment performance.
•Perform equipment repairs and replacements as necessary, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
•Good knowledge and experience working with/on industrial refrigeration systems, including compressors, evaporators, condensers, and control systems.
•Maintain accurate records of service performed, including parts used and time spent on each job.
•Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client concerns and providing expert advice.
•Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in air conditioning technology.
•Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

Qualifications / Requirements:

•Completed apprenticeship or recognised training course in Industrial Refrigeration.
•Relevant certifications like C&G 2079 (Refrigerant Handling), AA02 (Safe Handling of Ammonia).
•Full clean UK driving licence.

For this role you will need to:

•Be good with customers, in this front facing role you represent us every day.
•Be Health and Safety focused with awareness of relevant health and safety regulations regarding refrigerants and working in industrial environments.
•Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and team members.
•Be experienced in safe handling procedures for hazardous refrigerants like Ammonia.
•Be competent working independently.

New air con all set up in room 3 and a service on all our other units

Our industrial team recently service exchanged this Sabroe 202 SM due to high running hours, making sure the plant is maintaining reliability before failure.

This seamless changeout was managed by removing the ammonia from the machine prior the day before our preferred lift and shift team attended site to assist with the swap out.

It was then pressure tested, evacuated, and commissioned. It is now back in service and our customer is very happy with the quick turnaround😁

We recently completed and handed over a commercial VRV system in Devon.

This installation was certainly not straightforward, compromising from 2 ft thick walls, to anything that needed to be put up was not on a flat surface🫣 but that did not stop our team from overcoming these problems!

Backboards were also installed and levelled in the Main Office and Board Room to make sure the indoor units would sit comfortably.
