They were originally brought here for fur farming in the 1920s — but after escaping and being released, they’ve now established wild populations across the country. 🌿

Here’s the tricky part: minks are excellent swimmers and hunters, feeding on fish, frogs, birds, and even small mammals. Unfortunately, they’ve also caused problems for native wildlife — especially the water vole, whose numbers have dropped sharply due to mink predation. 😔
