The new school year is a few weeks away. Before the gates open in September, there is one question every school site manager should be asking: when was the solar installation last properly inspected?

We are offering solar inspections for all schools, colleges and education centres across Devon. Following the fire at Teignmouth Library earlier this year, believed to have involved the solar installation on the roof, this is something that deserves serious attention.

Unlike most electrical faults, a developing fault in a solar system does not automatically cut the supply. As long as there is daylight, the panels continue to generate. Problems can build slowly and go completely undetected for months.

We will carry out a full inspection and provide a written report.
