My first comissioned piece. A local business man asked me to make a pair of 60 x 45 x 5cm solid boards suitable for outside. I selected a slab I had dried and finished the boards with a Rustins plastic coat.

I have been crafting charcuterie boards from reclaimed materials, which are now available in local antique stores. To date, I have salvaged several table tops, a fireplace, and various pieces of timber. Identifying suitable source materials is crucial and poses a significant challenge.

I can't take good photos due to just having a phone and zero space. The table is finally ready and "together". Would you like a truly one of a kind piece? In theory this could be worth a fortune, in practice I have never sold anything I have made.

If you can give my baby a home and promise to cherish it then it could be yours. Family get first refusal, then friends, then anyone who lies saying they paid me loads for it.

I have started reaching out to local companies who sell unusual and bespoke items to see if they have a market for the table I have created. It weights about 300kg of mahogany and oak.

If any family or friends have space for this and would take it on as an ancestral piece to pass down the generations let me know. I may have more interest in placing this than selling it.

A beeswax finish has been applied to the butchers block inspired coffee table following several application of teak oil to bring out the character of the wood.

The top measures 25 x 15 inches and the piece stands at a height of 18 inches.

This piece is now available to purchase if anyone wants a truly one of a kind piece made from reclaimed wood. Local delivery can be arranged.

I have finished a "butchers block" coffee table made entirely from reclaimed wood.

The end grain top surface is made from pallet spacers, the sides were the seat from a bench and the legs were part of an extension that has recently been torn down.

Once the filler covering the screw holes has dried, I will work through the grains with a detail sander and apply a finish. The dimensions are 25" Long x 17" Wide x 18" High.

This coffee table could be for sale, or something similar built to your requirements.

The last couple of days have had a focus on workshop upgrades over products. Some stuff I am working on needs accurate and consistent cuts - I routed channels down the lengths and widths of my workbench to mount t-track rails.

While I am waiting for Amazon to Deliver the long straight bits I put together a table saw fence from pieces of a giant tile cutter I picked up from Proper Job Reclamation Centre in Chagford ( https://www.facebook.com/properjobreuse/ ) mated to MDF from a wardrobe door, strong shelf brackets and t-track bolts.

I have started creating my first jigs to slide down the rails. These are easy to make using the t-slot bolt kits from amazon ( https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0C6KCL1BC ) which seem a bargain at £5 for four t-bolts.

Buying a premade jig can cost upwards of £100 so there is a huge savings learning to do this type of work myself.

This is the first start of the table top for a 6x3 ft dining table. The base has already been fabricated out of the four corners of the snooker table.

I have added a couple more photo to show progress. All the pieces have been sliced and diced. Have squared the squares and have marked up the triangles to trim them to size. To do this I have fitted a new fine toothed blade to my chop saw and created a jig to compensate for how bent the fence on it is.
