A recent Velux project we’ve just brought to a close 👌

This was a big one — 9 Velux windows in total, with 3 replacements and 6 existing openings being extended to accommodate larger windows.

The aim was to give the customer much better head height while also making the most of the outstanding views from the property. The difference the larger windows have made to each room is incredible, opening everything up and allowing those views to really become part of the space.

We’re just waiting for the new reveals to be plastered and painted, and then these will look like they’ve always been there.

A big project with a fantastic end result — and most importantly, a very happy customer who can now enjoy the view from every room. 👌

Today's project involved replacing two Velux windows that were well past their best.

At over 30 years old, both windows were long overdue for replacement. Once we removed them, it became clear the condition was far worse than expected, with significant deterioration hidden beneath the surface. Fortunately, the customer decided to replace them at just the right time before any more serious issues developed.

The new white polyurethane Velux windows have completely transformed the space. Not only are they maintenance-free and far more thermally efficient, but the bright white finish also reflects much more natural light around the room, making it feel noticeably lighter and fresher.

Swipe through to see the before and after photos—the difference speaks for itself. The final touch is for the customer to paint the existing timber reveals white to match the new frames and complete the transformation.

Another pair of Velux replacements completed ✔️

Yesterday we replaced two ageing Velux windows that had both started to let the weather in.

One window was leaking heavily and the timber frame had become rotten, so we replaced it with a new white polyurethane centre-pivot Velux. The second had started showing signs of leaking in both bottom corners, so it was upgraded to a top-hung Velux window.

To finish the installation, one window was fitted with a blackout blind and the other with a translucent roller blind, giving the customer the perfect combination of practicality and comfort.

A huge improvement all round — warmer, brighter, watertight, and built to last.

Looks like we've filled the shelves again! 😅

A fresh delivery of Velux windows has arrived, all earmarked for upcoming installations over the next few weeks/months.

We'll do our best to get them out of Tim Simpson warehouse... and onto our customers' roofs as quickly as possible! Thanks for keeping us stocked up – plenty of transformations coming soon. 👌

Another small window job we've completed on a customers garage. As you can see on the before photos this one really needed urgent attention 😂.

Phase one of this job has been completed, now the customer can sleep better at night knowing his garage is safe and secure ✔️.

Phase two of this project will commence later in the summer.
