A bit out of my comfort zone but I was asked by a client to lay a patio.

The area outside their house had a concrete base that was good enough to re-use. So I broke up the mortar across the area and applied an SBR slurry. The extended part of the patio, the paths and the patio at the top of the garden required digging out to 175mm and then adding a 100m stone layer. After they were all compacted with a whacker, I laid a layer of mortar and bedded the York Stone slabs. I needed a bit of help with mixing the mortar and laying the brick surround, so we may become Jon and Daughter's Garden Magic.

It all turned out rather nicely.

Recovering a clients lawn. It was almost all moss in the shadow of the house. I used a scarifier to remove moss and thatch and then raked it over. Next I overseeded and then covered it with a thin layer of topsoil.
