Holiday accommodation owners.

The Welsh assembly have published an article on how to make your guest accommodation safe from fire. They state that all “Electrical equipment and wiring are common causes of fire. Therefore, you should take suitable measures to reduce the risk.

Through a series of visual and electronic tests, I can check your electrical appliances with a plug (PAT) and fixed (FAT) such as ovens, hobs, electric heaters etc that are connected to a fused spur).

Why chose Conwy Valley Electrical Equipment testing (CVEET)

I am a qualified and fully insured local electrical equipment tester with over 5 years of experience. I am also a member of the Portable Appliance Testing Trade Association (PATTA).

I have been employed by a considerable number of ‘holiday accommodation owners’ in the local area.

Many Insurance companies are now insisting on PAT Testing being carried out every 12 months (or less) to satisfy the conditions of their policy, and local council inspectors (Fire Officers, Environmental Health Officers) are routinely asking for evidence of PAT Testing when they carry out their inspections.

Should you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Non-Sleeved Plugs

In 1984 the British Standard BS1363 mandates that plugs sold must have insulated sleeve pins (sheathed) to ensure safety, especially for live and neutral pins.

Many older appliances may have unsheathed plugs. They are no longer compliant with current safety regulations.
