Working on two coastal projects simultaneously, one new build, one full renovation & extension, has been a hugely rewarding journey. Both properties were in need of significant attention, and we are proud to have transformed them into spaces that are ready to withstand decades of Cornish coastal weather while continuing to be enjoyed by generations to come.

The design inspiration came from the stunning coastal homes of New Zealand, with their simple, timeless forms, crinkly tin roofs, and beautiful timber cladding. These materials not only offer durability in a challenging seaside environment but also sit perfectly within the landscape.

Now complete, the properties look right at home on the North Coast of Cornwall – blending contemporary coastal design with the rugged beauty of their surroundings. We can already imagine the countless happy memories that will be made here over the years ahead.

Last night at the Cornwall Apprenticeship Awards, our Mason Apprentice Connor was nominated for Apprentice of the Year – Construction & Trade by Truro College, and we couldn’t be prouder. His hard work, dedication and commitment throughout his apprenticeship with us truly deserves the recognition.

Connor was up against apprentices from some huge companies, so to see our small construction business represented on that stage was a massive achievement in itself. Well done Connor — we’re incredibly proud of you and everything you’ve achieved so far.

We take on apprentices to teach them a trade that will stay with them for life — and if they want to stay and grow with us, that’s exactly what we want too. A job for life, if that’s the path they choose. Family business, family feel.

We’re a small, progressive construction firm working on architect-led, high-quality residential projects across Cornwall — and we’re looking for a Apprentice Mason to join our growing team.

This is a hands-on opportunity to learn traditional and contemporary masonry skills on thoughtfully designed, well-detailed builds. You’ll be working alongside experienced craftspeople who care deeply about quality, process, and pride in the finished work.

🔨 About the role

Apprenticeship position (or aspiring apprentice)

On-site learning with skilled masons

Exposure to high-level architectural projects

Focus on craftsmanship, detail, and doing things properly
