☀️ A little summer break for Cruse Electrical ☀️

It’s been a really busy few months with a great mix of work — EV chargers, consumer unit upgrades, EICRs, emergency lighting, fault finding and plenty of other bits in between!

I’m now taking a couple of weeks away from work to spend some proper time with the boys and family over the summer.

I’ll still be keeping an eye on messages, so if you’ve got any electrical work you’d like me to have a look at in September, feel free to get in touch via WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger or email and I’ll get back to you when I can.

I’ll be honest… PAT testing has never been my favourite job!

But after enough customers asked if I could do it alongside their EICRs, I’ve finally given in and bought a PAT tester.

So if you’ve got a rental property, holiday let, office, workshop or business that needs PAT testing, I can now take care of it at the same time as your EICR.

One less contractor to organise, and one visit to get it all sorted.

A week of varied installations!

One of the things I enjoy most about being an electrician is that no two days are the same.

This week I completed my first Starlink installation, fitting a new wall bracket and relocating the dish to achieve the best possible signal. It was something new for me, and I really enjoyed the challenge.

Alongside that, I also completed:

Ring doorbell installation

Ring floodlight camera installation

16A rotary isolator installation

As always, I’ve also been busy carrying out EV charger installations, EICRs, consumer unit upgrades, fault finding and general electrical work across Cornwall.

Every job is different, but I always aim to leave every installation neat, safe and finished to a high standard.

A few recent jobs completed across Cornwall.

A little update ….
I’ve been flat out with a mix of EICR’s, rewires, fault finding, testing, new installs and EV chargers.

Today was a good one — installing a new SWA/concentric supply over to an office container building to get power to an office, with plenty of hard graft involved from start to finish. Nice tidy job and another happy customer.

Big respect to Josh Green as well. He’s helped me out on a few jobs recently. He took a chance on changing direction, stepped away from a long-term job and has been putting the effort into learning the trade and getting stuck in on site. Fair play to anyone willing to work hard and better themselves

Been a bit quiet on here lately — not through lack of work, just been flat out

Lately I’ve been busy with a real mix of jobs including:• EICRs for landlords and homeowners• Outdoor sockets & lighting ready for the better weather• Full and partial house rewires

This week I’ve also passed my EV charger course, so I’m now able to fully install and certify car chargers — if you’ve been thinking about getting one, feel free to get in touch.

Also added a couple of new badges to the van (just needs a clean now… typical!) 😅

Big milestone for me today

Just over a month into trading, and Cruse Electrical Ltd is now officially a NICEIC Approved Contractor.

For anyone who’s not sure what that means — NICEIC are one of the main organisations in the UK that assess electricians to make sure work is being carried out safely and to the correct standards.

To get approved, they check your installations, testing, and how you carry out your work — so it’s not something just handed out.

I’m also registered under the Domestic Installer Scheme and approved to carry out Electrical Safety Checks (EICRs) for rental properties.

👉 What this means for you:
✔ Work carried out safely and to current regulations
✔ Fully certified and compliant
✔ I can notify building control where required
✔ Ideal for homeowners and landlords
