Happy hump day! Thought a juicy before and after might lift your spirits! And yes it really is the same room, focus on the window.. 😉
The client brief, like many of my kitchen refurbs and extensions is the desire to feel connected with the outside, and on an entertaining level when you have guests mingling outside it can then feel more frustrating when you aren’t. The original room also felt dark.. the colour scheme and use of materials was important too, using traditional elements to compliment the rest of the house but still the need to feel modern..
so I think you will agree it is definitely lighter and opening it to garden has made it feel much more connected 👌🏼

The desire to feel light all around you and feel connected to nature, a wish I hear so often when designing spaces.. this space may be beautiful but it’s the feeling that really makes it ✨

And just that like normal life resumes… no more late nights in the week, soaking up the summer sun 🥰 …autumn is here and now I’ve got over my holiday blues and cold, never has this season felt so refreshing!

September can either feel like, “crikey where has the year gone” and therefore planning Christmas already whilst for others it can feel like a “new beginning”, making plans now and strides towards big changes in January.. the projects we have been designing start taking shape this month and over the course of the next quarter there will be much to show you..

if there was a time to keep it real it is now… navigating a growing business with a growing baby is so challenging and even when they aren’t a baby it continues to be that way.. I wanted to spend some time remembering and to sit with the difficult feelings that come when looking at certain pictures but at the same time feel grateful with how far I have come.. I can’t stress enough how much a support you need when raising a child and so to talk about this and many other things around that with my friend Kate will be lovely! So today is the day 🥳☺️ ..the time for something new.. it’s weird how something can feel so right and yet make me super nervous at the same time.. but that’s life’s journey with all its incredible emotions right…
I have been working on creating a little something extra.. a shop.. all things home decor.. this weekend I will be displaying the collection we have so far at a few Christmas fairs, a preview of what’s to come.. I would love your feedback, to see your face there maybe and/or hopefully just a heart to show your support.. this is just the beginning..💫

So I’ve been working on something new, something I thought that may happen a bit further into the future but sometimes opportunities present themselves and you just have to go with it.. I’m a true believer in following my gut, it serves me well 😜
So this weekend I will be showcasing a preview of things to come, beautiful home decor pieces 🙌🏼 and would love to hear your feedback.. Good morning, Happy Saturday! and Hello to my new followers (Thank you 🙏🏼)
So this is me, Maria.. hanging out at my favourite place in Lewes, taking some time for me, along with my ..This rarely happens but boy does it feel good when it does!

I’ve wanted to reach out and say Hi! and update you, a lot has been going on at MMD HQ recently. I now have a business coach super exciting! Along with help from a lot of learning has been going on, along with talk about how visible i am! 🙈 I’m sure alot of you will agree when I say that motherhood can knock your confidence, so yes its suited me to be pretty invisible these past 5 years, but my girls are finding their independance which means i’m feeling more free to find mine.. 🙌

I feel ready to embrace this lovely little business of mine, to collaborate more with my new friend Scott and my design sister Leanna , together we’re so ready to create gorgeous, organised, calm homes, that make our clients feel like they never want to leave..to work with developers.. also excited to accept more jobs through such a great platform!

I have been craving for a long while now to give more love and attention to MMD and to see it grow.. I’m so grateful the universe led me to work with Pandora, her spiritual meets strategy approach is so what i’m into these days 💫

So for you lovely followers this means that you’ll see more squares popping up, maybe some reels 😝 some tips, insider knowledge, and current projects.. its going to be fun! 🤩
