Yesterday Matthew (with his teaching hat on) took final year Built Environment students from University of Plymouth to look around the Millennium Building on Union Street, Plymouth. A former cinema, roller disco and nightclub, this is truly a remarkable building with stacks of potential. Now the students will work up design proposals for how this building can be re-used! Building control full plans sign off, now to break ground on out latest project, a completely off-grid new house in Mid-Devon. For this, the client has chosen a lovely local oak frame joiner, who will construct the frame and insulate using wood fibre insulation. Looking forward to seeing this one take shape next year!

Fox Ecological Architects are proud to have the CobBauge Project building at the University of Plymouth recognised by the LABC with a "Regional Highly Commended" award for "Best Public or Community Building" in the South West. Thanks to the team at the university, Insite Projects Ltd, Barry Honeysett Engineers, Services Design Solution (SDS), Kendall Kingscott Ltd, Chris Noakes Eco-construction and of course Plymouth City Council Building Control. Looking forward to taking this material further with several new CobBauge buildings in the next year.
