A great example of Angus Sandstone complementing contemporary residential design.

For this property in West Pitscottie, Fife, 140mm guillotined stone was specified across the external elevations, providing natural texture, depth and material consistency throughout the build - with our half moon copes for decorative features.

The contrast between the stonework and modern architectural detailing demonstrates how traditionally quarried sandstone can be successfully integrated into contemporary homes while maintaining a strong connection to local building materials.

All stone quarried and processed at Pitairlie, ensuring full traceability from source to installation.

Looking back at one of our favourite residential projects - the stunning Linwood property on the Renfrewshire coast.

This project made extensive use of Angus Sandstone across the external build, incorporating 100mm walling and corners alongside half moon copes to create a consistent and well-defined finish throughout the property.

The coastal setting, combined with the natural variation and texture within the stone, helped deliver a build that feels both contemporary and firmly connected to its surroundings.

We’ve recently launched a new and more comprehensive Denfind Stone website.

Developed to better reflect the scale of our operations and expanding product range, the updated site provides improved access to technical product information, project case studies and insight into the full process behind Angus Sandstone - from quarry through to finished material.

The new platform also allows us to more clearly showcase the breadth of applications across paving, walling, masonry and bespoke stone products, alongside the projects and sectors where our material continues to be specified.

As Denfind continues to grow, the website has been designed to support architects, contractors, developers and landscape professionals with clearer information and easier access to product details.

We’re pleased to see Angus Sandstone incorporated into the new Drimmie View development by in Letham, Scotland

This exclusive bungalow development combines contemporary design with a strong focus on long-term quality and energy-efficient construction - set within a carefully considered rural setting.

Denfind supplied 40mm guillotine stone walling and corners for the project, helping to introduce natural material character and permanence across the external elevations.

Quarried and processed at Pitairlie, our Angus Sandstone continues to be specified across residential developments where provenance, consistency and material authenticity remain important considerations.

We look forward to seeing the completed scheme take shape.

Riven paving in Angus Sandstone can be finished to suit both setting and specification.

These examples show our distressed edge finish, where edges are hand-hammered and lightly roughened to soften the profile and create a more natural, less uniform appearance. The result is a paving product that sits comfortably within traditional and heritage contexts while maintaining the performance and consistency of quarried stone.

All finishing is carried out on site at Pitairlie, ensuring control over both appearance and quality from extraction through to final product.

Angus Sandstone paving follows a controlled, on-site process from extraction through to finished product.

Stone is quarried at Pitairlie, then sawn, hand selected and finished to specification - with each stage carried out adjacent to the quarry. This approach allows for consistency in grading, closer quality control and full traceability throughout production.

Every piece is checked before leaving site, ensuring the material specified is the material delivered.

If you’re specifying paving for an upcoming project, speak to the team about supply direct from source.

We’re pleased to welcome Fraser Gall to Denfind Stone as our new Production Manager.

Fraser joins the team with a strong background in manufacturing and operations, bringing practical experience in production processes, team management and quality control. His appointment strengthens our on-site capability as we continue to manage extraction and processing directly at Pitairlie.

With all stages carried out adjacent to the quarry, maintaining consistent standards across production remains a priority - and Fraser’s role will be central to that.

Welcome to the team Fraser!

Wow, what an amazing yet challenging experience for everyone involved in Doddie’s Triple Crown.

Ali and Brian, along with the wider Specsavers Dundee team, took on an exceptional test of endurance - pushing through three nations in support of a cause that continues to mean a great deal to many across the industry and beyond.

Reaching the finish at Blackrock Rugby Club in Dublin marked the end of a demanding journey, but more importantly, it represents the collective effort to raise vital funds for the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation and its work in tackling MND.

A huge amount of commitment, resilience and team effort went into this - something we’re proud to support as part of the wider Denfind family.
