Big thank you to Meopham Mowers who have been a great service this month in repairing my Toro Timemaster, twice!!! First time was a wear and tear belt snap with a service whilst in but the second was when due to a pipe monkey deciding to not pick up his scaffold clips from the grass and cause another belt to be shredded and blades to get hammered when I trundled over it.

Great timely service and at a reasonable price. Cheers lads.

After a short break away back in the groove. Lawns have grown a treat recently and the sunny weather has made them a joy to cut. One more twin blade mower garden to complete in the morning and then off to London for some Jubilee work.

So my summer break is done.
I have some regulars and contract work to catch up with this week and then normal service resumes.
Knowing how things were growing I think a holiday has been more stressful than working knowing what I return to.

The first day of contract gardening has been completed. It is a bit of a game changer for me and I hope to keep the balance with private work continued.

The pandemic has caused a drop in work compared with the previous years so like others I’ve had to diversify.

My regulars will still be maintained but occasional bookings may have to wait a tad longer than my normal response. Bushes don’t grow that quickly so no great panic, occasional grass cuts will still be done as soon as I can.

If you have woken to a bit of a snow dusting I have 22kg bags of salt grit I can deliver for £5 a bag. It’s set to be below zero for the forthcoming week and paths will become slippery.

With the new directions set to com into force I cannot perform activities on a work from home basis so will be continuing to assist in your gardening needs when required. I will politely ask customers to maintain a distance if your home when I attend and will turn down the teas and coffees offered; my flask will keep me going.

Also bank transfers would be preferred over cash but with the new plastic notes I will take them and sanitize if needed.
As I’ve always said, it’s risk management not adversity to continue without shutting down the country. Unfortunately a common level of sensibility is not present in the wider populous.

Keep your chins up and enjoy the simpler side of life we enjoyed a few decades ago.
